iWebKit 5.01, 5.02 & 5.03

Friday, February 26th, 2010

The last weeks some minor bugs were fixed and features were improved.
A big improvement with 5.03 is that there are no more display problems some of you have experienced on 3G/EDGE. just add media=”screen” to your css link!

We are working on a better RSS feed converter that is actually built into iWebKit but that comes in a later release!

mini update: iWebKit 4.6.1

Tuesday, May 19th, 2009

Nothing really new here. Just some corrections to the user guide and demo files.

One exciting thing is that all the thumbnails are now viewable in any browser or graphic editor (finally). They have also been optimized so that the size of the pack has, again, reduced by 20Kb.

Thanks to The Grim Sultan on the iWebKit forum for the image fixes.

No need to update really besides including he new thumbnails and optionally updating your image folder.

iWebKit 4.5.3: UG fixed up a bit

Saturday, March 28th, 2009

I recently noticed the User guide was completely kaput so I quickly grabbed my Adobe indesign and… it didn’t work anymore… I got some strange error message and even resetting settings or reinstalling the app didn’t work. So that already took a couple of hours.
Next I decided to simply install indesign on an older PC I have laying around. This time indesign started but for some awkward reason it didn’t work right with AMD processors. So I googled around and saw i simply had to download an update.
The only problem here was that I have no internet on my old desktop. So what I did is take my ipod touch, download PdaNet and voila I had freakin’ Wifi on my PC!!

So then i downloaded the indesign update and here is the newest version of iWebKit:
- Fixed bug where the background image in a store list would not appear
- Re-added the usefull info section that somehow got deleted
- Fixed the problem where the Music List paragraph was cut of and the form elements paragraph was in the middle of the 2 bits
- more warnings
- Added links in the UG so that when you click on a title in the summary you go to that page
- other random fixes i can’t remember

No update needed if you’re fine because this just changes the User guide

Enjoy.

iWebKit 4.1 – A lot of fixes

Monday, January 5th, 2009

Recently iWebKit 4.1 has been released. This small update contains some fixes for the distribution of the files in the 4.0 zip leading to non functioning sites.
Also the issue where the quotes in the User Guide were not “code quotes” resulting in false code when copy/pasting was resolved.
One last thing is that the encoding of the document now matches it’s meta tag and the popup code has been optimized.

To update simple replace the css and the javascript files but be sure to put them in the folders they are in in the zip. Relink your HTML files to them by changing the url’s in the head section of your documents.

Happy coding!
